Terms of Service

Welcome to Synglee! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Synglee (“we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your access to and use of the Synglee application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating a Synglee account or by accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and use the Service. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.

3. Your Account

  • Account Creation: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to keep your account information updated.
  • Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or use.
  • Verification: You agree to undergo our mandatory photo verification process to ensure authenticity.

4. Community Rules and Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service in a respectful and lawful manner. You agree NOT to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or illegal activity.
  • Harass, bully, stalk, intimidate, or defame any person.
  • Post or share content that is sexually explicit, pornographic, violent, or promotes self-harm.
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or post misleading or false information.
  • Use the Service to distribute spam, solicitations, or commercial advertisements.
  • Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Service’s infrastructure or security mechanisms.

5. Content and Intellectual Property

Your Content: You retain ownership of the content you post on Synglee (e.g., photos, text, voice intros). However, by posting content, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, distribute, reproduce, and display that content in connection with the Service.

Our Content: Synglee owns all rights, title, and interest in the Service, including its design, text, graphics, algorithms, and logos. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our intellectual property without our express written consent.

6. Safety and Interactions with Other Users

You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users. Synglee does not conduct criminal background checks on its users or verify the statements of its users. We make no representations or warranties as to the conduct or compatibility of users. You agree to take reasonable precautions in all interactions with other users, particularly if you decide to meet offline or in person.

7. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

Synglee offers a premium subscription service (“SyngleePro”). If you choose to purchase a subscription, you agree to pay the applicable fees. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. All purchases are final and non-refundable, except as required by applicable law.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS-IS” AND “AS-AVAILABLE” BASIS. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT YOU WILL FIND A MATCH.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SYNGLEE INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, ANY CONTENT SUBMITTED BY USERS, OR ANY CONDUCT OR INTERACTION WITH OTHER USERS.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, without notice, for any reason, including if we believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Alberta, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Calgary, Province of Alberta, Canada.
